Paper
Omya produces and sells expertise and innovation in the fields of
- Papermaking and filling
- Paper coating
- Paper testing
- Paper printing
Our range focuses on everything connected to calcium carbonate. We are the company developing know-how and providing services.
Omya conducts research and development for its own purposes and under contract to customers. We seek new solutions and deliver the associated expertise. There are three areas of focus in these efforts:
- Customer oriented applied technology services for new formulations and for optimizing products.
- Development of new products based on natural ground, precipitated and modified calcium carbonate.
- Basic and continuing training courses for employees and customers.
Omya solves problems and assists with processes. We are just the people to turn to for anyone producing papers and developing improved products based on calcium carbonates.
Omya offers service and support to customers across the globe and provides the most modern expertise on product and formulation optimization.
We provide first level support in nearly all countries, where paper is produced. Our second level support is based at Omya headquarters in Oftringen with its specific technology, equipment and installations located at a single site, enabling an enviable combination of concentration and openness that makes the company fast, flexible and economical. Ideas can be tested, knowledge can be gained and mill trials can be prepared using our pilot network with world-wide access to pilot paper and coating machines.
On request, we recommend steps for optimizing products and formulations. We provide our customers worldwide with on-site advice and conduct basic and continuing training courses individually designed for their employees.
