Overview

Since 1992, the Alabama Carbonates, L.P. plant in Sylacauga, Alabama, has produced fine calcium carbonate filler and coatings grades to meet the growing demands of paper and packaging manufacturers located in the southern United States. This past year the facility installed a dry plant and has begun producing treated products for the paint and plastics industries. The new facility will supply products to the paint and plastics market in the southeastern and southwestern United States.
