In recent years particular attention has been paid to developing and strengthening an already strong global distribution business. This has been accomplished through joint partnership initiatives with our Principals and increasing our material portfolio in both developing and mature markets. Supporting this strategy, Omya's new distribution agreement with Arkema, for the plastics additives impact modifier and processing aid solutions range represents a genuine synergy fit which brings value to our customers.
Our investment in Engineered Materials continues and Omya is strongly active in building further, its pan-European network in terms of specialty / Engineered Materials distribution. Omya has consistently delivered innovation since the last K Show which has manifested in new products as well as breakthroughs into new materials and applications.
We have extended our reach with the Direct Addition technology and have enlarged our well-known Hydrocarb® range dedicated to vinyl extrusion for the Building & Construc-tion markets, with products such as Hydrocarb® XP allowing for superior gloss allowing our customers to increase their calcium carbonate usage without compromising on either mechanical properties or the final product performance.
Likewise in the Packaging sector, Omya's calcium carbonate is applied to enhance mechanical properties and improve productivity as well as environmental footprint in a wide variety of rigid and flexible packaging applications.
Omya continues to bring innovation to the consumer markets with its extended Omyafilm® range for Breathable Film applications.
These last few years has seen our business specifically focusing upon all aspects of the polymer value chain.
