Omya offers a unique portfolio of lightweight fillers (LWF) to the construction industry. Omyasphere is a complete solution portfolio based on closed-cell expanded perlite and hollow glass microspheres.

Omyasphere 400 higher resistance closed-cell expanded perlite;

Thinking of volume instead of weight

When replacing ‘heavier’ minerals, such as mineral fillers or aggregates, with Omyasphere LWF the weight of the final product is reduced. The resulting product is easier to use and has advantages from a health and safety perspective.

At the same weight, introducing lightweight fillers increases the yield or spread rate, giving a greater coverage area, lowering the costs/m².

Omyasphere 200

Closed-cell expanded perlite offered in untreated and treated grades. The surface treatment improves hydrophobicity for lower water demand and enhanced stability.

Omyasphere 400

Higher strength closed-cell expanded perlite. It is manufactured using a patented, energy-efficient process to meet specific requirements of the building industry.

Omyasphere 900

Hollow glass microspheres based on soda lime borosilicate glass are spherical and hermetic microspheres with low density, high compressive strength and high brightness.
