Renders and plasters must serve both decorative and functional purposes. To meet the aesthetic demands of customers, textured renders and plasters require mineral particles with high brightness and various diameters. Omya calcium carbonates and other mineral products are ideal for formulations that meet these specific requirements.

Boost packing and early strength

Our Betocarb calcium carbonate grades are ideal for sustainable mortars and concrete for high performance applications. Betocarb has consistent purity (>95%), giving it high brightness and making it compatible with other additives. Its excellent consistency complies with the highest standards. With a very low carbon footprint, Betocarb reduces the overall footprint of dry mortar.

Lightweight fillers for dry mortar

Lightweight filler can be produced using a variety of lightweight aggregates made from expanded perlite with the grading particularity of a top cut lower than 1 mm.

Lightweight fillers are hard, rigid, light and insulative which is particularly useful for producing innovative lightweight mortar.

Our Omyasphere series of lightweight fillers is based on closed cell expanded perlite and delivers enhanced thermal insulation properties among other benefits.

Granules for dry mortar

Omya offers 100% recycled calcium carbonate under the Omyacycle product range. We use specifically selected calcium carbonate from reclaimed material and have obtained the Bureau Veritas certification as 100% recycled material.

Omyacycle can replace mineral fillers currently used in many Paints & Coatings, Adhesives & Sealants, Mortar, and concrete recipes, improving the sustainability and the recycled content of the final product.
