How does OmyaPro Sun protect crops against heat stress and sunburn?  

OmyaPro Sun protects annual and perennial crops from sunburn and heat stress that would adversely affect yield and quality. The ultrafine particles of OmyaPro Sun form a protective film on the crop, which reflects excessive sunlight without preventing photosynthetic activity. This long-lasting, rain-resistant film maintains a lower surface temperature on leaves and fruit, reducing water stress.  It allows the plant to continue photosynthesis during the heat of the day, improving the sugar content in the fruit. 

Why is calcium nutrition important for fruit crops?

Calcium nutrition is essential for cell wall stability and strength. Calcium deficiency leads to damaged and diseased fruit, including post-harvest damage, reducing marketable yield and quality. OmyaPro Sun provides a pure source of calcium directly to the crop. 

How should I use OmyaPro Sun? 

OmyaPro Sun is a wettable powder that can be applied using standard spraying equipment. It should be applied before the air temperature rises and can be repeated as required to refresh the film, especially during fast vegetative growth or after heavy rain. Any residual particles can be removed easily from the fruit after harvest.
