Job main responsibilities
Objectives of the job
Manage and coordinate transport between Omya manufacturing plants, warehouses and the customers according to quality standards, at agreed lead-times and negotiated freight rates. Guarantee the efficiency of logistics flow through maximal service for customers Ensure price recording and payment follow-ups Ensure financial awareness Main tasks and responsibilities
Analyze and evaluate carrier selection and routing to ensure use of most efficient and cost effective means of transportation within agreed delivery times Plan and assign transports Update changes in delivery dates, delivery conditions in SAP Manage urgent re-routing of shipments resulting from changes in manufacturing sourcing plant or customer order cancellation Monitor extra-costs (demurrage, extra delivery, last-minute delivery, etc.) Analyze and code invoices in Esker platform Assist in the process, review and payment of all Logistics supplier invoices in coordination with Accounts Payable Manage Export shipments of Samples from manufacturing plants and warehouses Daily control of SAP Outbound Deliveries to ensure on-time loading and shipment from manufacturing plants Working on new price requests/tenders, yearly increases etc. Update freight costs in SAP Monitoring of all transport prices Control GR/IR reconciliation reports Interface to Carriers and Customer Service colleagues Supporting Customer Service Benelux on daily basis Administrative/process quality improvement (ERS/Netmover/SAP) Sourcing and benchmarking of carriers to optimize flows and prices Developing ERS and Netmover access to all carriers Monthly ERS for 0340 and 0381 Report on key logistics performance indicators and metrics, analyze overall vendor performance Shared Responsibilities: Coordination of customer complaints related to carrier and third party logistics operations (shared with carriers and operations groups) Ensure all suppliers are in compliance with company standards, guidelines and objectives, as well as all applicable industry standards and governmental regulations

- Education level: minimum high school / preferably additional degree in Logistics
- 3-4 years relevant work experience
- Language skills: good knowledge of French, English. German and/or Dutch would be an asset.
- Experience with ERP systems, SAP preferred
- Good skills in MS Office tools
- Able to work independently as well as in team.
- Problem solving, flexible, organized, stress resistant
