Act as the key support figure, ensuring alignment between global governance standards and Regional/local execution, facilitating communication and effective governance practices within a specific global data domain
Main responsibilities:
- Collaborate with Global and Regional Data Domain Owners and Responsibles to ensure consistent data practices across all levels.
- Assist the Global Data Domain Owner in identifying critical data and conducting impact analysis on data changes, blockages, and deletions, ensuring no disruption to current reporting or downstream systems.
- Coordinate with Regional Responsibles to gather information to support the Sanction List process (applicable only to Customer and Vendor domains)
- Supports the Global Data Domain Owner in ensuring data within the domain is protected and comply with relevant data privacy and security regulations.
- Monitors Master Data Internal Controls implementation at Global level within the domain.
- Supports the definition and implementation of data quality requirements, metrics, and thresholds, at the domain level.
- Maintains and update metadata artifacts (e.g., business glossaries, data dictionaries, data lineage)
- Monitors, evaluates, and reports on data quality and compliance within the assigned domain, ensuring alignment with global governance frameworks.
- Ensure governance practices are followed during domain data integration into the Data PowerHouse platform.
- Align business processes with SAP MDG standards for managing master data.
- Act as a liaison between business and technical teams, ensuring data governance requirements are met.
- Supports data issues resolution at domain level.
- Supports evidence gathering for internal audits on data within their domain.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Minimum of four years of experience in defining and implementing data governance frameworks, master data management, data stewardship, or data quality lifecycle management.
- Experience working on customer, Vendors and or Materials domain.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field.
- Strong understanding of data complexity and the challenges associated with change management in data-related initiatives
- Experience working with Data Governance and Master Data tools (SAP MDG, Purview, Informatica, Collibra, etc.)
- Proven ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams (business, IT, legal, etc.) and lead data governance initiatives.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with a high level of proficiency in PowerPoint and the ability to present complex data concepts clearly to a variety of audiences.
- Fluent in English, both written and spoken, with the ability to communicate clearly and effectively in a global environment.
- Demonstrated ability to engage with stakeholders at all levels, including senior leadership, and effectively manage relationships
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills, with a proactive attitude toward managing tasks and overcoming challenges
