Omyaloop FC offers a sustainable, mineral solution with grades that have been validated by third-party as containing 100% pre-consumer recycled content.
Leveraging Omya’s global manufacturing and logistics network, the product offers consistent quality and availability, with high-brightness and fine grades available to meet demanding performance requirements.
Our Omyaloop product portfolio is globally available in a wide range of particle sizes, fineness levels, and performance properties—please refer to our brochure below for a complete overview of the global product offering.
Foster decarbonization for greener future
Omya uses renewable energy to produce Omyaloop FC at multiple sites, where it is able to cut its carbon footprint by two‑thirds. This helps customers meet sustainability goals by lowering CO2 footprints.
Omyaloop FC enhances recycled content and supports decarbonization, with some grades achieving a carbon footprint as 10 kg CO2eq/t.
Achieve your recycled content goals with cost optimizing minerals
Omyaloop FC performs as efficiently as conventional calcium carbonate in building materials, paints and coatings, adhesives and sealants, polymer compounding and can therefore be used as a 1:1 replacement in the most common formulations and processing methods.
Omyaloop FC’s benefits
Certified 100% recycled content
Certificate from UL ECVP 2809 (in Canada, US) or Bureau Veritas (in Europe, Asia Pacific), both based on ISO 14021
High‑brightness and fine-grade options
Consistent quality and performance
Increases the recycled content of the final product
Omya has a highly experienced technical services team which supports customers throughout the process of product development. Our pilot compounding and production lines combined with our extensive testing laboratories enable process optimization and product innovation.
Calcium carbonates, such as limestone, marble and chalk are natural and renewable. It is continuously replenished by natural cycles in rivers, lakes, and oceans or formed as minerals, for example, from shells or skeletons.
The production of calcium carbonate does not involve any energy-intensive processes, leaving the carbon footprint substantially lower than that of any polymer resin. Calcium carbonate also meets the criteria for a renewable material.
Omyaloop earns Frost & Sullivan’s 2022 European New Product Innovation Award in the sustainable mining solutions category.
