David Gonzalez joined Omya Specialty Materials as Global Application Manager Lightweight Fillers, in 2020. In January 2026, he has been appointed Global Director of Strategy & Portfolio Lightweight Fillers, developing the global strategy across different Omya market segments and regions.

 

David has 25 years of well‑proven and diversified experience in R&D, Product Development, and Technical Service in the Construction, Paints & Coatings, and Adhesives & Sealants industries.

 

His areas of specialization include cement chemistry, concrete rheology, mechanisms of chemical admixtures, rheology‑modifying additives for paints and coatings, and novel materials such as colloidal silica and microspheres.
