Job main responsibilities

Lead, direct, and control the activities of the Indonesia PTOI business so that it achieves its short, mid and long-term financial and operating objectives as set by the overall corporate business plan.

Ensure the turn-around of the business is profitable, prepare and increase the readiness to achieve Horizon goals.

Be the Legal Representative for legal entities accountable for.

Excluded Responsibilities

Standards / Methods / Guidelines / Processes / Systems for all Group Functions (e.g. IT, Engineering, Marketing Segments, HR, Finance & Controlling, Treasury and Tax).

People management of teams reporting to Group Functions.

Strategy Development and Implementation

  • Based on the Regional strategy, establish an overall vision and local strategy to guide the business into the future with profitable and sustainable growth, ensuring that all stated objectives, aims and targets are met.
  • Facilitate and support the local management team to develop the strategic planning and implement necessary actions to achieve the company's objectives.
  • Actively look for and propose new business opportunities and investments, being accountable for the results of the operations realized.
  • Active involvement in key customers' management and business development.

Operational Management

  • Oversee all business activities to ensure profitable growth, customer satisfaction and cost-effective management of all resources.
  • Set and monitor the performances of the business against standards and agreed targets.
  • Identify quality and efficiency performance gaps, define improvements plans, and lead/monitor prompt implementation.
  • Drive change in company culture to develop a performance driven culture, entrepreneurial spirit, innovation and continuous improvement mindset.
  • Responsible for compliance with local laws & regulations, as well as HSE and company policies & procedures.

People Management

  • Lead, motivate, guide, evaluate and develop the management team and the senior managers to improve present performance and to ensure having an active and engaged team.
  • Select and develop ‘Horizon Leaders’ - empower people, promote feedback for accountability and urgency, celebrate success and accept failure as learning opportunities.

Communication & Reporting

  • Responsible for public relationships with government and other related authorities and key business stakeholders.
  • Timely & accurate reporting as requested by Regional Management and/or Group Functions.
  • Organize and lead necessary management and site meetings.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Education

  • University Degree level, major in Marketing, Sales or Commercial
  • MBA or equivalent

Experience

  • 20 years of professional experience in total, with at least 5 to 7 years in General Management / MD / Country Head position.
  • Worked with MNC in similar industry.
  • Have already worked and lived for several years in other countries. 

Knowledge and skills

  • Entrepreneurial thinking, result driven.
  • Proven leadership skills with ability to drive challenging projects and motivate teams to achieve common goals.
  • Strong organizational skills including the ability to implement change management initiatives.
  • Effective relationship builder, able to solve problems in a creative and structured way.
  • Ability to work on the strategic level, yet also displays a down to earth attitude and can be hands-on when needed.
  • Strong in people management and excellent interpersonal skills.

Other requirements

  • Excellent command of both oral and written local languages and English.
