Multibase™ silicone masterbatch (SiMB)

Multibase™ SiMB silicone masterbatches enable manufacturers to enhance both the processing and surface performance of thermoplastics. Depending on the polymer system and grade, they can provide benefits including improved flow, mold release, scratch resistance, anti-squeak performance, pigment dispersion, and reduced processing energy. Multiflex™ styrene block copolymer (SBC)

Multiflex™ SBC thermoplastic elastomers from DuPont™ provide excellent flexibility, transparency, and ease of processing while delivering outstanding overmolding performance and attractive aesthetics. Multiflex™ silicone-enhanced elastomer (SIE)

Multiflex™ SIE from DuPont™ is a silicone-enhanced thermoplastic elastomer combining flexibility with excellent surface quality, durability, and mechanical performance. Silicone enhancement provides very good scratch and abrasion resistance, helping components maintain their appearance and surface performance throughout repeated use. Multiflex™ thermoplastic elastomer (TPE)

Multiflex™ TPE delivers an outstanding balance of flexibility, durability, and processing efficiency. Designed for injection molding and overmolding applications, it provides excellent soft-touch aesthetics, mechanical performance, and long-term durability for consumer products, automotive components, industrial equipment, and medical applications.

Multiflex™ thermoplastic polyolefin (TPO)

        TPSiV® combines the processing advantages of thermoplastic elastomers with the distinctive performance characteristics of silicone. It provides a soft, silky surface feel together with excellent resistance to UV exposure, chemicals, stains, scratching, and abrasion, helping components maintain their appearance and performance over time.

        Selected TPSiV® grades also offer excellent colorability and adhesion to rigid substrates for overmolding applications, making the technology well suited to applications where premium aesthetics, tactile performance, durability, and design flexibility are important.

        Multibase™ SiMB silicone masterbatches are designed to enhance both processing efficiency and finished-component performance. During processing, they can improve flow and mold filling, reduce extruder torque and energy demand, increase throughput, and support more effective dispersion of fillers and pigments.

        In finished components, Multibase™ SiMB can provide benefits including lower friction, improved scratch, abrasion and mar resistance, enhanced surface quality, and a smooth, silky feel. Performance depends on the selected grade, polymer system, formulation, and application requirements.

        Multibase™ additives may improve mold release, flow characteristics, dispersion, throughput, scratch resistance and surface aesthetics depending on polymer system and additive grade.
