Lightweight fillers in dry mix mortars

Join our webinar on 15th October at 3:00 PM CEST to discover how engineered lightweight fillers can help balance density, workability, thermal performance and formulation efficiency

Unlocking performance with Lightweight fillers in dry mix mortars

Discover how Omyasphere® lightweight fillers can help formulate smarter dry mix mortars by reducing density, increasing yield and supporting efficient application, while creating opportunities to optimize formulation cost and material use.

Join Omya’s experts  webinar "Unlocking Performance with Lightweight Fillers in Dry Mix Mortars" on October 15 to explore how engineered lightweight fillers can deliver value beyond density reduction. The webinar will cover practical formulation approaches for dry mix mortars, including ceramic tile adhesives, and show how Omyasphere® can support lightweighting, workability, application performance and formulation efficiency.

Why should you attend?

  • Discover how Omyasphere® lightweight fillers can help optimize dry mix mortars and ceramic tile adhesives beyond simple density reduction
  • Learn how to reduce formulation density while maintaining targeted mechanical and application performance
  • Explore opportunities to improve workability, sag resistance and application efficiency.
  • Understand how higher yield and lower lightweight-filler dosage can support formulation cost optimization
  • See practical case-study data demonstrating measurable performance, cost and CO₂e benefits in a C2TE ceramic tile adhesive formulation

Unlock more performance from less weight

Featuring a ceramic tile adhesive case study, discover how Omyasphere® lightweight fillers can turn density reduction into measurable formulation, performance and cost benefits.

A C2TE formulation demonstrates how Omyasphere® can achieve targeted mortar performance at significantly lower lightweight-filler dosage.

  • Only 4.5% Omyasphere® replacing 15% expanded glass
  • Same tiling coverage with only 15 kg of adhesive vs. 25 kg of standard adhesive
  • Lower lightweight-filler cost contribution
  • Improved workability and sag resistance
  • Potential for faster tiling operations
  • 8% lower calculated CO₂e footprint versus the expanded-glass reference formulation
