The challenge of recycling polyolefin blends is separating similarly dense Polyethylene (PE) and Polypropylene (PP) plastics.

Usually, a minimum of 5% PP is present in 95% of PE. This cross-contamination of PP and PE leads to the poor final mechanical performance of recycled Polyolefin blends.

Omyaloop MIX is a new generation of calcium carbonate specifically developed to improve the recycling process, improving consistency and providing higher flexibility on the feedstock variations.

Tested and proven on commercial recycled blends for rigid applications versus conventional treated or untreated calcium carbonate, Omyaloop MIX shows an increase in mechanical properties (Charpy impact, E-Modulus) while keeping elongation at break at good levels.

Regarding the mechanical property of tensile stiffness, Omyaloop MIX enhances the tensile and axial strain while keeping elongation at good levels.

Tested and proven on commercial recycled blends for flexible application or multilayer films versus conventional treated or untreated calcium carbonate, Omyaloop MIX shows an increase in mechanical properties (E-Modulus, dart drop values) while keeping elongation at break at good levels in both machine and cross direction.
