Job main responsibilities
- Perform analysis on mineral and mineral-containing products using a variety of analytical techniques and application methods (e. g. particle size analysis, mechanical properties, rheometers, spectroscopy, etc)
- Conduct guided non-routine experiments for product and process technology development contributing to industry-focused product development and future research and development goals
- Perform maintenance, calibration and troubleshooting of instruments used to perform the tests
- Adapt industry (e.g. polymer, construction, paper, etc) processing equipment and/or conditions to meet the specific experimental objective
- Demonstrate and develop expertise in sample preparation and processing equipment such as high speed mixers, extruders, presses, etc
- Record test results and observations in computer based data retention system
- Maintain responsibility for sample management, data entry and reporting
Candidate profile requirements
- apprenticeship as Laboratory Technician
- Experience working in a lab
- Good technical skills and willingness to use them in a laboratory environment
- Excellent computer and sorftware skills in Word and Excel
- Good command of both German and English
- Proactive, target-oriented and willing to work on multidisciplinary projects
- Excellent team spirit
- Work in an ISO-certified environment
