The Omyaloop product range is made of 100% recovered calcium carbonate from other industries that would otherwise be disposed as waste and has therefore obtained the Bureau Veritas certification.


Thanks to the new and broad Omyaloop FC product portfolio, it is easy to replace calcium carbonate in existing recipes with Omyaloop FC, thus improving the sustainability and the recycling content of the final product.

Calcium carbonate is well known in the polymer industry as a mineral modifier, providing different functionalities and optimizing overall cost.


To meet the recent stringent demand of the industry for more recycled materials, Omya has developed a new recycled calcium carbonate that also complies with the most common food contact legislations such as EU 10/2011 and FDA enabling its use in  food contact applications.

Optimize costs in compounding, injection and extrusion

Omyaloop FC performs as efficiently as conventional calcium carbonate in compounding and extrusion and can therefore be used as a 1:1 replacement in the most common polymer processing methods.

Sustainability with Omyaloop FC

Calcium carbonates, such as limestone, marble and chalk are natural and renewable. It is continuously replenished by natural cycles in rivers, lakes, and oceans or formed as minerals, for example, from shells or skeletons.


The production of calcium carbonate does not involve any energy-intensive processes, leaving the carbon footprint substantially lower than that of any polymer resin. Calcium carbonate also meets the criteria for a renewable material.
