In the final rotomolded articles, typical calcium carbonate levels range from 5% up to 30%, depending on the final product.

 

The dispersion of calcium carbonate in the pulverized micropellet is optimal, a crucial property for the rotomolding process.

Reduce rotomolding cycle times

The addition of Omya calcium carbonate reduces the overall cycle time of the rotomolding process by shortening the cooling time.

 

This happens because calcium carbonate has a 6 times higher thermal conductivity than MDPE. For every percent of mineral added, the overall cycle time can be reduced by approximately one percent.

Enhance product properties and performance
