Omyadent grades are functionalized minerals, with a core of calcium carbonate and a shell of hydroxyapatite, the main constituent of the enamel and dentin in our teeth. Omyadent grades are based on Omya proprietary technology, in which the mineral crystallization is optimized, leading to the creation of structured particles. This enables a variety of products with tailormade properties for specific applications.

Remineralization and whitening

Omyadent 100 particles are an effective source of calcium and phosphate for remineralization due to their unique internal porosity and external lamellar structure. They release calcium and phosphate ions faster than other non-nano inorganic sources, repairing defects and smoothing the surface, which increases the appearance of whiteness.

Fighting dentin hypersensitivity

Dentin hypersensitivity is caused by fluids moving inside the tubules of exposed dentin and can be reduced by occluding them. Omyadent 200 has small, tailored particles composed of calcium carbonate and hydroxyapatite which penetrate the tubules and occlude them effectively, leading to the natural desensitization of the teeth. Thanks to its porous structure, Omyadent 200 still allows the transport of necessary substances to the dentin.
