Direct, control and supervise financial processes; in accordance with legal regulations and corporate policies, with the purpose of providing adequate information that contributes to decision making in terms of quality, opportunity and relevance, safeguarding the company's resources and contributing to the improvement of processes to increase the shareholder value.


  • Direct and establish policies for accounting and financial processes, ensuring that the application and compliance with the Omya Group's standards and policies is maintained.
  • Responsible for meeting Omya Group's deadlines and quality requirements with respect to all financial reporting.
  • Guarantee compliance with the requirements of the internal control system (ICS) and evaluate its effectiveness and efficiency.
  • Evaluate the reasonableness of the financial statements.
  • Support and ensure the timely completion of internal and external audits.
  • Direct the Treasury processes (collection, payment and investment) following Omya Policies.
  • Prepare the company's budget.
  • Prepare projected cash flows (monthly or annual).
  • Prepare tax strategies together with the external advisor (Tax planning / compliance).
  • Monitor the annual provision of income tax (Internal) and income tax return (External).
  • Monitor the levels of NWC, EBITDA, OVA, Operating margin (CM2) and propose to Management and different areas actions to improve the indicators.
  • Monitor access to the ERP (D365) for financial area personnel.
  • Monitor the safeguarding of company assets and appropriate insurance coverage.
  • Prepare reports for the Management Team, Corporate and Shareholders.
  • Update the OMIS/ORCA databases (monthly, quarterly and annual reports).
  • Approve the annual report of the financial statements and its notes for the shareholders.
  • Evaluate financial coordinators activities and monitor the accounting analysts development plan.
  • Evaluate procedures in different areas.
  • Provide resources for management systems.


Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administrator or similar with specialization in Finance and Internal Control.

The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of experience in managing financial and accounting areas and in depth experience in IFRS, auditing and internal control, solid bases in taxes, costs accounting, ERP (SAP, D365, JDE, others), Microsoft Office applications and advanced level of English (reading, writing and speaking).

Multi-plant experience preferred and proven problem solving, analytical, decision‐making and teamwork skills. Proficient knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting.
