KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Production Duties Execute manufacturing process by operating designated production equipment.
- Select intermediates or raw materials, move and load it into production machines. Understand bill of materials and/or formula specifications, so the proper quantities of materials are added in the proper sequence.
- Manufacture product in a safe and timely manner and according to predefined process instructions to meet specific quality standards.
- Accurately read control instruments, prepare neat & accurate records for all operations as required.
- Responsible for completion of all quality test requirements to verify final product quality.
- Ensure efficient, uninterrupted production and identify and facilitate process improvements, monitor equipment and report production information in a complete, accurate and timely manner.
- Keep records for production, raw material deliveries, quality samples and equipment and process performance.
- Prepare product packaging for next step in production or for final shipment to customer according to department specifications.
- Ensure proper operation, maintenance and cleanliness of various laboratory instruments.
- Work in accordance with all relevant requirements and internal safety guidelines. Perform other duties as assigned.
QUALITY, HEALTH, SAFETY AND ENVIRONMENT
Responsible for housekeeping in the plant and maintaining a clean, safe and clutter free work environment. Know the significant quality, safety & health, and environmental (QSHE) aspects/ impacts associated with work, including relevant legal/ other requirements and emergency preparedness and response. Understand and use the Corporate Sustainability Policy and the Integrated Management System (IMS) as guidance to continuously improve the QSHE aspects of job.
QUALIFICATIONS
Good command of both oral and written local language is required. Computer skills and laboratory experience are preferred. Basic chemistry knowledge preferred. Ability to communicate efficiently verbally and in writing with coworkers, supervisors and customers. Ability to work rotating shifts, overtime, and weekends, including operating facility alone on nights and weekends. Ability to work inside and occasionally outside exposed to heat, cold, dirt, and noise.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or equivalent education required. 5 years of industrial/manufacturing experience in a chemical or related field. Experience in a maintenance role for a manufacturing or related operation.
